A model train display's scenery is greatly enhanced by realistic buildings. Whether the theme is New York City or a small village, the model railroad buildings you use will illustrate all that is human about any landscape. If you are modeling a prototype scene, then you most likely will want to find or to make specific buildings for your display. If you are "freelancing," or making up, your cities and towns, then you can choose whatever buildings you want. Hobby shops provide pre-made and ready-to-assemble kits for all kinds of model railroad buildings. Buildings from kits are typically made out of plastic and can be decorated with paint or decals. Some examples of buildings include: You may also choose to create your own buildings by altering a kit, combining kits or even building your own structures completely from scratch. You can use raw materials that you may already have at home, such as wood, foam, cardboard or paper. Then use an acrylic paint to decorate them accordingly. Creating original pieces may be necessary in cases when you are building a specific prototype and cannot find an exact kit. In addition to the model railway buildings themselves, you can integrate accessories that enhance your display's realism. Accessories are basically anything that you would see in real life: people, cars, roads, trees, billboards, benches, chairs and fences. Strategically place items around your buildings to bring your display to life, such as: To further enhance the realism of buildings, you may consider pasting miniature pictures and curtains on the inside. Wiring small amber/yellow lights inside of buildings will also create a realistic nighttime effect and will "show" that people live and work in your buildings - just like in real life. Furthermore, applying a flat water-based acrylic weathering medium creates faux dirt and grime that are inherent to the outside of buildings, thereby enhancing your display's credibility. You can purchase this medium in different colors, such as brown/orange to mimic rust or black to represent soot or dust. When placing model railroad buildings throughout a landscape, perspective also comes into play. Depending on how the display is set up, you may need larger buildings closer to the foreground and smaller buildings in the background. Small buildings "way off in the distance" can be made from painted wooden blocks - which not only saves money but it may also save time, as these may not need as many details as buildings closer to the foreground. Its a little about 12 weeks old miniature pinture and we had her since 6 weeks. we havent had any luck trianing her yet. Any tips on some things we should try or do? Try crate training. There are many websites that will tell you how to go about it. General information. Big enough to turn around in, but not too big for her to pee at one end and sleep at the other end. You can put a blanket in it, but I didn't-to clean it/wash it if she had an accident didn't help her learn where to go. Exercise her. Take her out of the crate often to go potty. She is a puppy, and will need to be taken out often. You may even have to set an alarm for the middle of the night to take her out until she is old enough to hold it all night. Take her water up early, so she won't have to go potty in the middle of the night. Puppies and dogs usually end up loving being in the crate if properly trained with one. They feel safe and secure in them. A good place, a happy place. If not used as a punishment, but a good place to be they will willingly go in. Were house training our new dog. any tips?

Keep her in the crate when you are not at home. When you are home have a play time with her, and make sure you reward her when she does good. A reward can be a treat or extra play time or lots of lovings. Whatever she responds to best. (Mine loved her treats!) Also when you are home, keep her confined to the room you are in so you can keep an eye on her. If she shows sign of having to go, like pacing, circling, sniffing etc., take her outside. If she makes a mistake or has an accident...please don't punsh her..it was an accident, she is a puppy and doesn't know any better yet. She will learn through positive reinforcement, not by punishment. A trainer told me that if a dog has an accident and goes in the house, to be angry at the mess..not the dog...let the dog know you are angry at what she did, not her! Sounds strange, but it works! If you are in the living room, where she is confined, and she has an accident. Just angrily clean it up, with her in the same room. Let her know it is what she did you are upset about.
It takes time and patience to house train a puppy. So be patient with her. Give her time to learn...just like a baby learns to use the toilet, a puppy will learn to go outside.
IF, she has an accident in the house, clean it thoroughly with an enzyme cleaner like Nature's Miracle. Dogs sense of smell is better than ours, and if they smell their scent, they will think it is OK to go there again. House Miniature Pictures best buys currently on Amazon Stores
