Dollhouse miniature lamps - how to tell if they work?
Hi, I hope someone here can help me. I have two miniature ceiling lamps for a dollhouse. They have tiny little "plugs" and bulbs, so I imagine they're supposed to actually light up. They've never been plugged in. They were part of a classroom project my child did about 10-12 years ago; once the project was done they went into storage in my closet. I don't have the packaging anymore. I'd like to sell them online, but naturally I'd like to tell buyers if they work or not, but there's nothing in my house I can plug them into. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can tell if they work? I don't know anything about miniatures; I don't even know if these items are battery-powered or electric. Thanks in advance!

These are usually electric powered by a "wall wart" step down transformer.
You can check out if they work with a 9 volt battery -- connect one side to one prong of the plug, the other side to the other prong of the plug. If the bulb is good it should light up.
